As founder of Acadia Counseling and Wellness, I have a passion for helping others achieve their health and wellness goals. I believe that everyone has an inner desire to grow through healing, learning, and creating strong connections with others. My vision is to create a wellness community where everyone is welcome. I specialize in working with people of all ages dealing with anxiety, depression and trauma. Member of the Association of Comprehensive Energy Psychology, Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and Certified First Responder Counselor.
Ashley is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and certified in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C). She is a Maryland Board approved supervisor. She earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marymount University. She specializes in working with adults with anxiety, mood disorders, co-occurring mental health and addiction disorders, as well as helping new parents as they navigate mental health during pregnancy and the postpartum period. She uses an eclectic, person-centered approach that utilizes a wide array of therapeutic approaches including mindfulness, compassion, and humor to meet each client where they are and offers a supportive environment for healthy change and growth.
Eric completed his internship in Clinical Social Work with Acadia Counseling. He is interested in working with first responders as well as those seeking counseling around trauma, anxiety and depression. Eric also has experience working with couples. Eric has trained in EMDR.
Stephanie incorporates wellness and holistic practices into her counseling services. For 20 years, she has assisted clients with improving the quality of their lives using various modalities and best practices.
Julie has been working with adults of all ages with substance use disorders for over 10 years. With an open mind, compassion and empathy, Julie can help you take a look at how drugs and alcohol are affecting your life and provide a supportive environment for change. Additionally, she can provide guidance in supporting a loved on who is in active addiction or just beginning the recovery process.
Jenifer holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the Notre Dame of Maryland University, and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from McDaniel College. She utilizes a variety of therapies including person-centered approach, CBT, attachment-based therapy, and existential therapy to best fit the needs of her clients. She is experienced working with adolescence, young adults, adults, and couples on issues related to anxiety, depression, trauma, adjustment to life transitions, interpersonal conflict, and alcohol/substance use issues. Jenifer’s purpose is to help her clients heal, restore, and transform their lives through highly personalized, practical, scientifically supported comprehensive care. Her goal with each client is not simply symptom relief, but a renewed sense of self-confidence and optimism.
